Camp Registration: limited to 12 students. Any additional students will be added to a wait list. Registration is only active if the registration fee is paid. Full payment is due 1 week prior to camp.
Description:
West Plains Musical Discovery is offering a ukulele camp for ages 8-14 this summer! Campers will learn ukulele chords for popular songs and perform as an ensemble at the end of the session concert! Students will have an active part in planning the concert experience. Activities will include ensemble rehearsals, musical crafts, and small group lessons provided by our talented West Plains instructors! Students will be provided with a ukulele to use and practice with for the week (or may bring their own). [Optional: You may purchase an instrument as part of the camp for an extra fee.] This camp is meant to inspire a love for music in young musicians and introduce them to collaborative performance with peers. This camp is geared towards kids new to ukulele, but more experienced players in this age range are welcome!
Learning Factor:
This camp allows for campers to explore their musical curiosity. They will be introduced to a new instrument and foundational musical concepts. There is a large emphasis on group learning in this camp. This is an opportunity for them to learn new things and make friends at the same time.
