The studio is closed for these holidays:
- End of Summer (2026):
Monday, August 24 – Sunday, August 30th
(Fall session starts Monday, August 31) - Labor Day Break** (2026): Monday, September 7th
- Thanksgiving Holiday:
Wednesday November 25th – Sunday November 29th - Winder Break*/Christmas:
Sunday, December 20th – Sunday January 3rd - Spring Break*: Monday, April 5 – Sunday, April 11
- Academic Year End Break:
(Instrumental lessons only, Kindermusik still meets):
Monday, June 14 – Sunday, June 20 - 4th of July Holiday: Monday, July 5 – Sunday, July 11
- End of Summer (2027): Monday, August 23 – Sunday, August 29
- TENTATIVE FALL START: August 30 (will finalize when Cheney School District publishes their 2027-28 calendar)
- Labor Day Break** (2027): Monday, September 6
*Thanksgiving, Winter & Spring Breaks are the same as the Cheney School District’s.
**With the exception of Labor Day, we do not close for Monday Federal holidays such as President’s Day, etc. We are open on Veteran’s Day.
Recital & Studio Get-Together Schedule

2026-2027 Studio Classes
All classes are at the main studio: 712 1st Street, Cheney
Exact group times will be announced later in fall.
Studio classes are for students to perform for each other. Music games are also part of the classes.
- Fall class: Saturday, December 5
- Spring class: Saturday, May 22
2026-2027 Recitals
All recitals will be held at the main EWU music auditorium in Cheney.
Recitals are public performances for students to share music with the community.
- Fall Recitals: Sunday, December 13
- Spring Recitals: Sunday, June 6
Both recital days will have 3 recitals at the following times:
- 1:30 Mostly Guitar and Voice
- 3:30 Mostly Strings & Brass
- 6:00 Mostly Piano
Exceptions to above are for scheduling issues and to keep siblings on the same recital.
External Performance Opportunities
2026
- Annual Summer Ice Cream Social, August 15th, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Sutton Park (performance starts at 4:00 p.m.)
